The moon is past full now. Once again, it appears less than full but more than half lighted. In the few days after full moon, you’ll often see the waning gibbous moon in the west in early morning, floating against the pale blue sky.

Legendary Harvest Moon Shines On Night of October 3-4, 2009




Perhaps the biggest of the entire autumn season – the legendary Harvest Moon. The moon reaches the crest of its full phase at Midnight on October 4 in the east Canada. Making up for the autumn season’s waning daylight, the Harvest Moon faithfully provides several nights of dusk-till-dawn moonlight.
