Lunar Occultation of Venus

As the year turns, the young moon (7.5%) sweeps past Venus West one hour before sunset. Since the Moon is very close to Venus, the Moon blocks the light from Venus, and a lunar occultation event occurs for about one hour and 6 minutes (19:47 to 20:53)
