A very bright star Jupiter
and the Moon (97.9%) will be closest tonight on May 27. The planet Jupiter
is close on the sky’s dome to this nearly full moon on May 29, and both Jupiter
and the Moon are more or less opposite the Sun.

A Planetary Trio
The planets Venus, Jupiter
and Mars forming a planetary trio will be visible in the eastern sky
before dawn from now until October 29, 2015. We won’t see a planetary trio
again until January, 2021!
